Liz is all enrolled for junior college this coming semester. She is taking two online courses along with 2 other classes, which really helps with her work schedule. I took no loans for this and while she is helping it's not cheap. Just part of life. Thank God she is the last one and is in love with the state school in De Kalb. She'll be transferring there next year. Cheaper than the big school her brother went to. It was the scene of the shooting last Valentines. I am not nervous about her going. We have already had one lock down at one of our local high schools, somebody found a bullet outside. You just never know though. Nothing in life is certain. Gotta live for today.

We are fortunate not to have problems with guns in schools. Ours is knives in the UK......... Dunno what's worse really.

Very frightening these days with public schools. Glad to hear it's in the 30's up there. I think we've been in the teens mostly. The sun came out today. College is very expensive. That is wonderful you are able to help Liz without taking on student loans!

My daughter was just talking to me this evening about where my grandson was going to go to highschool. Hope he gets to go to the better one. Things are really bad sometimes for these kids. Have a great week. Janie
It was the scene of the shooting last Valentines. I am not nervous about her going.~ I love this part because I actually think schools that have had that happen in the PAST are better equipped to deal with such things and take addtl measures for safety. Years ago right across from the Catholic school my dad worked at a conv store owner was shot, and then the shooter ran right by the school. Everyone started saying it was a dangerous neighborhood when in fact it was a very safe one....UNTIL THE GUY GOT SHOT. You really cannot know ahead of time.

It seems to be that way everywhere right now. We all really need the work,Hang in there.
When I hear stories about trouble in schools, I'm so glad my kids are grown and my grandchildren are home schooled. Scary world we live in!
I love the little dog at the end of your entry. SO cute!
